• Coming Home takes the protection of sensitive data seriously and uses physical, technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Access to sensitive information is limited to individuals who have a legitimate need to provide the service.
• Protected Health Information (PHI) is encrypted and is not used for marketing, analytics, error logs, or AI training. Care Providers and vendors that handle PHI are subject to Business Associate Agreements and HIPAA requirements, and PHI use and disclosure is limited to the minimum amount necessary.
• Coming Home does not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers. Data provided through Val is not used to train AI models, and depending on a user’s settings and permissions, certain high-risk messages may be shared with their Care Provider for safety purposes. Users may also request access to or deletion of their personal data.
